Final "Grind my Gears"

It is kind of funny how this came about. I had a pretty bad video idea that I filmed and then on my way back to class after getting my flip someone as saying that smoking is bad. I agree, and am working on quitting, however I realized that it really irritates me when people tell me what to do and when people shun others for doing something that they are against or just don't have the urge to try. People were not put here to go around and jack with other peoples business and scrutinize their lifestyles. Deal with your own problems and don't create problems with others.

The Ridicles of Nunda

Alright, this is a movie that I had actually been writing a script for since the beginning of the year. I wanted it to be much better and longer yet without proper funding it is very difficult to make a film. We also lack costumes and fake currency. This is actually only one scene of the big movie but we wrapped it up for the project a little bit. We had quite a few people help us out with this which was really nice of them so if any of you end up seeing this thanks! I guess we'll see where the actual movie sits if we have any motivation and money. I used the poster effect to try and make it more like an old comic. (Hense the "Smack" and other words that pop up when people get hit.) Its supposed to be funny so I hope it is enjoyable...

Catch up

Hey I just got done catching up on all of our projects. I got my self video in and our movie is just about finished, we're in lab and about to turn it in when we put some music in.

Self Project: Hypnosis

This is my project that I did on my own. The one before the movie project. I actually had a friend video tape me hypnotizing people. This is a video of my friend Blaine shortly after I hypnotized him. (p.s. this is not fake, it is real hypnosis) I taught myself how to do it and I think that it is quite fun. I know that it is late, I didn't really know for sure when it was due but I was just able to get him under and wanted to use this for my project.

Flipin' Fable

There is something wrong with the flipping writing on the discs so they just stop working. The creators went with a new company that apparently isn't very good. So since walmart doesn't have any new copies I traded mine in for Rainbow six vegas 2 and got 20 bucks back so thats pretty sweet.

Fable 2

So Fable 2 came out the other day, me and a couple of friends joined the small crowd at walmart awaiting its release. Yet for some reason the computer wouldn't let it sell untill about one when it was supposed to at 12 so we got free candy. Then we got the game and started playing it. It is amazing. Well worth the hour and a half wait for it.... which really isn't that terribly long but thats alright. You get a dog who helps you find treasure and attacks people and once again all your actions affect your characters personality and the way people react to him, as well as do your clothing but they have a less significant impact. Overall its a great game.

Exam 1

This is my amazing project. I cut the video and used the images as backgrounds with the chroma key. I used text and transitions to enhance the viewing experience and added a couple second introduction. I went to freeplaymusic.com to get a song that sounds like victory and applied that to the video then changed the volume so it is lower when he is talking.

New Paint technology

I just painted a room in my gf's house with her and I found an automatic paint roller in my garage so I decided to use it. It was, simply put, a pain in the ass. The entire thing was in pieces and I had to put it together and then it didn't work so I had to take it apart and fix the problem and then finally I figured it out and got it to work. I was doing one wall and My girlfriend and her friend were doing the other 3 walls and I barely beat them with the auto thing because of all the problems getting it to work. Then Cleaning it was not a simple task either. All in all I think that old painting technology is better. A simple roller and brush is all you really need.

Group Project

Here is the video we edited, i was a difficult task because we thought that we had lost everything but ended up finding it and rushing to get it finished because I am going out of town right after this uploads.

Project

Yesterday Matt and I went to the studio to try and interview people for our assignment. Neither of the people we were going to interview were available due to last minute scheduling conflicts. I found someone else who we could interview and Matt also set up a time with his interviewee. Today we meet in Yeager at around 12:20 which we shortly thereafter realized that you (Dr. Cecil) was at lunch. Sadly the door to the studio was locked. Luckily Professor Klock was my Photography teacher last year and he let us into the studio where we eventually rediscovered how to use the computer there to capture video and then uploaded it to a U.S.B port. We had Jared and Nick (the subjects) debate about which was better, hacky sack or ping pong. Then uploaded it and helped a couple girls figure it out and then luckily made it to my next class in time for a quiz.

Ipod?

I have apps downloaded to my Ipod and for some reason they stopped working. They only open and then close again and I'm pissed cause I payed two dollars for one of them. I think I can hook it up to my computer though and save the games on my comp hopefully then reset the Ipod and transfer everything back over. I'm gonna try to do that. Peace

Happy day

Hey Dr. Cecil Happy 29th BDAY!!!! hurray. ha I started writing a script for our movie and we found a costume designer so we're getting closer to a start! All we need now is some funding and we are trying to think of a way to go about getting some dinero. I suppose where there's a will there's a way so there must be a way to get money. If that costume designer (not professional) will help us make them for cheap it will be sweet because we do need quite a few costumes. I'll update later when we take the next step

Funkey

I bought something I found at shopko. It's called Funkey's, they looked pretty funkey so I bought them. It was probably a waste of 20 dollars but whatever, tried something new. There are these toy thingies that hook up to the computer and you can play it. For some reason when I made my guy he got really dirty just standing around and you have to make him go through the suds station and clean him? but these other small toys hook into the big one and you and use them to unlock different games in the world but the computer needs internet access and it doesnt hook up to mac. so my pc isnt online.. well right now it sucks i'll update at a later date

Spore

Back to the spore topic. Spore is very addicting! It is a difficult thing to put down once you start. There are so many things you can do with this ever interactive universe. Once you leave your planet though you can no longer control the citizens of the planet which is sad but also good because if you had to deal with in planet things as well as dealing with other planets it would be too much to handle.

Word Jumble

This is my word jumble that I edited the chroma key in. This way of doing it was quite repetitive and difficult. I think that I did a decent job doing so though.

Ipod Apps

I just got a sweet racing game on my Ipod touch. It is kind of like a cave man version of mario cart. You can pick your car and you get weapons like homing pigeons along the way. the most revolutionary thing about the game is the turning. You use the actual Ipod to turn the character, when you tilt it right the guy turns right. Another amazing app I got was the remote application. It is cool.. except in the dorms where we dont even have wifi so it's useless up here in college. If you do have wifi though you can control the music on your computer with your Ipod wirelessly. It is very cool

Spore Party

I just got spore installed on my computer. It's the new game from the maker of the sims. It is intense, I ended up playing till 4 in the morning because I lost track of time playing it. It is consuming once you pick it up its hard to put down. After I leveled up enough the game completely switched gameplay. Instead of just killing creatures and eating it turned into building towns and cities and destroying other surrounding cities or towns that are building up as you are. It is a good game, but the best part is that it was miss-marked at shopko so I got it for 10 dollars instead of 50.

Sega

I just got a sega genesis for 5 bucks from good will. it came with mortal kombat, but I had to buy the rca cord and some games so i ended up spending 30. Its funny, it says High definition graphics on it but its 16 bits. It is pretty awesome though. I mean it shames the 360. ha

wow I just saw that new samual l Jackson movie. I have to tell you it was really boring. Nothing but himm being a d bag. I actually left during it because I felt that I had already seen it through previews.

iPod blog

k right now I am in English class in the briggs library writing this blog on my new iPod touch via email. It is a little more time consuming yet amazing. This technology would haven't even been fathomed 10 years ago

MOVIE!

Hey everyone.. if anyone even reads these, Ross, some friends and I are making a movie. We want it to be a good one so we are gonna try and fundraise if we can. We need to buy supplies, such as costumes and props. We are scouting locations for filming and really cannot start until we get/ build props and get costumes for the characters. We are also gonna need some extras but I doubt that will be too difficult to find. So far the movie is broken down into 6 chapters, after each chapter is made it will be uploaded to a website we make and probably Youtube, I'm sure I'll add links when this happens. The final project will then be put on a dvd and I guess if it's good enough we'll try to sell copies.

New Ipod and Mac

I just got my new Ipod and Mac, so far I am enjoying them, they are fun and cool. the one thing I don't like is the fact that there is not enough wifi hotspots on campus. It is pretty lame, so the internet on the ipod is kind of limited. I still need to try and figure out how to use a mac as opposed to my pc.

Word Jumble

I know how to use Adobe Premier and it is pretty similar to final cut express. Although I am still getting used to using a mac in general because I just got mine in the mail last night. Luckily the programs are close because I think that i'll be able to learn it fast. I enjoy being on camera because it's fun and I am going to make Ross like being on camera too. We are making a movie so he needs to be in it. I think that I will enjoy the mac and the video creating with it. 

The dreams in which I'm dieing are the best I ever had

Hellow friends, I am Sir Snow Skylark, born of Nunda. One year ago, many a moons ago, my throne was stolen. The Throne of Nunda was gone. I, along with my trusted steed Rodney Dangerstone ventured forth into the unknown in search for the missing throne. We ventured far and long across countless acres until the fateful day we met a warrior of the dark. His name was Winter K, armed with a bastard sword and the Orb of Kranos he sought the Throne of Nunda for himself. After minutes of intense bickering we decided to join forces and search for the throne together.
